It's never too early to get in the Halloween spirit. NEVER. That's why Blumhouse just blessed us with the first official trailer for the highly-anticipated Halloween reboot — starring Jamie Lee Curtis herself. It's absolutely everything we could've hoped for.
Halloween resets the horror franchise and brings us back to the original movie's timeline. In other words, disregard any and all remakes and sequels in between 1978 and 2018. This will be the real deal: Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) waiting for Myers to return after 40 years so she can get REVENGE.
The trailer starts off with Michael Myers in prison, but it doesn't take long for him to escape, in typical Halloween fashion. But this time, Laurie is ready for him. She's been waiting four decades, after all, which she's spent being a shotgun-wielding badass wanting Myers' head on a platter. "Do you know that I pray every night that he would escape?" she says. When someone asks her why, she replies, "So I could kill him." Dun. dun. dun.
Here it is in all it's glory.
What could be scarier than Michael Myers casually dropping bloody human teeth over the bathroom stall? Honestly, we can't wait to find out.
See Halloween in theaters October 19.
