Actress Allison Mack has been accused of being a recruiter for a sex cult. If that's the case, then these old tweets to stars like Emma Watson are beyond creepy.
The Smallville actress was recently arrested on sex trafficking charges for her role in Nvixm, an organization that's been described as a cult by at least one former member. According to the Assistant US Attorney, “Ms. Mack was one of the top members of a highly organized scheme which was designed to provide sex to [Nvixm founder Keith Raniere]... Under the guise of female empowerment, she starved women until they fit [Raniere's] sexual feminine ideal.” There's also allegations of branding these sex slaves in the pubic region and taking nude photos of their "recruits" as collateral.
So, now knowing what Mack was doing for Nvixm, these tweets to Hermione are disturbing AF:
Watson never responded to any of the tweets, but she wasn't the only celeb target. At least one message was sent to Kelly Clarkson as well.
Not everyone ignored Mack's advances, however. Fitness instructor Jennifer Pastiloff did an interview where she describes her experience with Mack, whom she first met on Twitter and then talked to over email.
"To me, what she was talking about sounded like a cult,” Pastiloff said. “It was bizarre. I thought that’s probably how they get them in, with these workshops. Would you have gone after that email? I had zero desire to ever go to this thing, ever. I think I didn’t really want to connect with her because if we had, I might have gone to one of these workshops and then who knows?”
Thank goodness her warning bells went off, because it sounds like other women weren't so lucky.
